Job Description Direct Counsel is seeking an experienced Asset Management Associate / Special Counsel to join a sophisticated asset management practice in Washington, D.C. or New York. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with experience in private equity funds, hedge funds, and derivatives.Location

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on matters involving private equity funds, hedge funds, and derivatives.

• Support complex asset management and investment fund transactions.

• Draft, review, and negotiate fund-related agreements and documentation.

• Collaborate with attorneys on sophisticated investment management matters.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of experience

• Experience with private equity funds, hedge funds, and derivatives.

• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.

• Licensed to practice law or eligible for admission in the applicable jurisdiction.

Compensation

Associate Base Salary: $225,000–$435,000, depending on class year.

Special Counsel compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
