SMT Equipment Maintenance Technologist (ATP/PCBA)
Job Description
Job DescriptionJoin a High-Tech Test Environment
Step into a shift where your expertise keeps advanced manufacturing running flawlessly. As an SMT Equipment Maintenance Technologist, you’ll blend hands-on troubleshooting with data-driven optimization to make sure network-enabled products are rock-solid before they ship.
- Location: Racine – Mount Pleasant, WI
- Pay: $24–$28 per hour (additional premiums for 2nd & 3rd shifts)
- Shifts: 2nd & 3rd available
What a Day Looks Like
You begin with preventive maintenance on SMT lines—checking feeders, verifying calibrations, and confirming critical parameters on reflow ovens and wave solder systems. A production call comes in: you partner with Field Service to isolate an intermittent hardware/firmware fault uncovered during ATP (Acceptance Test Procedures). You trace signals, review logs, and return the system to spec.
After lunch, you fabricate a quick fixture to stabilize a new assembly, tune thermal profiles for repeatability, and load results into the PM software so the team can monitor equipment health trends. You close out the day analyzing statistical data that flags an early warning on a high‑use machine—preventing tomorrow’s downtime.
