Position Summary

\n

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse and plant logistics operations supporting manufacturing activities. This position oversees inbound receiving, raw material storage, production material supply, inventory control, finished goods warehousing, outbound shipping, workforce management, warehouse systems, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

\n

The role ensures uninterrupted material flow to production, accurate inventory management, compliance with company policies and EHS regulations, and achievement of operational KPIs. The Warehouse Manager will work closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Transportation, Maintenance, and Headquarters to support efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

\n


\n

Warehouse Operations Management

\n

Lead and supervise daily warehouse operations including inbound receiving, put-away, storage, production staging, picking, packing, shipping, returns, exception management, and transportation coordination.

\n

Ensure uninterrupted material flow between the warehouse and designated production sites to support production schedules and avoid material shortages.

\n

Develop daily operational plans based on production schedules and shipment volume.

\n

Ensure all warehouse operations comply with company SOPs, customer requirements, and applicable safety and compliance standards.

\n

Monitor warehouse capacity and optimize storage utilization, zone allocation, and warehouse layout.

\n

Ensure all customer orders and production requests are completed accurately and on time.

\n

Perform final operational checks prior to shipment to ensure shipping accuracy.

\n


\n

Inventory Management & Material Control

\n

Support monthly inventory closing and financial audits by ensuring inventory accuracy and timely reconciliation.

\n

Maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts, physical inventories, and system reconciliation.

\n

Ensure full material traceability by managing lot control, batch tracking, and inventory transactions in accordance with quality and customer requirements.

\n

Manage materials and packaging inventory in accordance with customer requirements.

\n

Ensure accurate inventory transactions within WMS and ERP systems.

\n

Maintain warehouse location control and material traceability.

\n

Implement FIFO/FEFO inventory practices where applicable.

\n

Investigate inventory discrepancies, shipment errors, and damaged materials through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

\n

Monitor inventory aging, hold items, partial balances, and obsolete inventory.

\n


\n

Production Logistics Support

\n

Coordinate material replenishment to support the customer’s production schedule and outbound request timing.

\n

Collaborate with Production Planning to ensure timely availability of materials.

\n

Manage material transfers from the warehouse to production areas in line with production requirements.

\n

Support initial operational stabilization, inventory reconciliation, and physical inventory activities during go-live and transition phases.

\n

Coordinate urgent material movements to support production priorities.

\n


\n

Warehouse Systems & Process Management

\n

Develop, review, and implement warehouse SOPs for receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.

\n

Manage warehouse operations utilizing WMS and ERP systems.

\n

Ensure timely and accurate system transactions for all warehouse activities.

\n

Maintain inventory master data and warehouse location information.

\n

Coordinate with IT and HQ to resolve system issues and support system enhancements.

\n

Maintain inbound, inventory, and outbound documentation including packing lists, receiving records, inventory reports, PODs, and discrepancy reports in accordance with company policies.

\n


\n

Team Leadership & Workforce Management

\n

Lead warehouse supervisors, operators, forklift drivers, temporary employees, and third-party logistics personnel.

\n

Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate warehouse employees.

\n

Monitor attendance, productivity, and labor utilization.

\n

Develop staffing plans based on production and shipment requirements.

\n

Establish cross-training and contingency plans to ensure operational continuity.

\n

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

\n


\n

KPI Management & Continuous Improvement

\n

Consolidate and manage overtime (OT) cost tracking.

\n

Collect, organize, monitor, and assist in KPI data analysis.

\n

Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

\n

Lead continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

\n

Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational excellence.

\n

Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management and headquarters.

\n

Support preparation of Monthly Business Review (MBR) materials.

\n


\n

Safety, Compliance & Facility Management

\n

Lead OSHA compliance initiatives, monitor regulatory changes, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.

\n

Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox meetings, and warehouse audits.

\n

Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials when applicable.

\n

Maintain warehouse housekeeping through 5S principles.

\n

Ensure all warehouse equipment, forklifts, racking systems, and material handling equipment are properly maintained and inspected.

\n

Ensure warehouse security and regulatory compliance.

\n


\n

Cross-functional Collaboration

\n

Serve as the primary operational contact for the customer regarding warehouse and material supply matters.

\n

Conduct regular coordination meetings to align with production schedules, material requirements, and service level expectations.

\n

Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Maintenance, Transportation, Customer Service, and Headquarters.

\n

Communicate operational issues and escalation items promptly to management.

\n

Support customer visits, internal audits, and external compliance audits.

\n

Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely inbound and outbound deliveries.

\n


\n

Required Qualifications

\n

7+ years of warehouse or plant logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.

\n

3+ years of warehouse leadership or supervisory experience.

\n

Experience supporting manufacturing operations with production material flow.

\n

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling.

\n

Strong understanding of OSHA, warehouse safety regulations, and EHS requirements.

\n

Hands-on experience with WMS and ERP systems (SAP experience preferred).

\n

Experience managing warehouse KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.

\n

Strong understanding of OSHA, warehouse safety regulations, and EHS requirements.

\n

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

\n

Strong leadership and communication skills.

\n

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications.

\n


\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

Experience in battery, cathode materials, chemicals, automotive, semiconductor, or other manufacturing industries.

\n

Experience supporting plant start-up or warehouse setup projects.

\n

OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification or the ability to obtain certification preferred.

\n

Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen experience.

\n

Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers.

\n

SAP WM, WMS, or similar warehouse management systems.

\n

Business-level Korean proficiency preferred.

\n

Flexibility to support urgent operational matters outside normal working hours and attend meetings during Korean business hours when required

Business Hours: Mon-Fri 08:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Additional hours, weekends, and overtime may be required based on operational needs.)
