Envocore is an established national leader engaged in the engineering, designing and installation of energy-efficient systems. Our company designs and installs projects for a wide range of Government, Commercial, Industrial, Educational, Medical, Institutional and Retail facilities across the United States.
Summary
This position will provide professional knowledge and expertise in the operation and support of environmental health and safety programs in compliance with regulatory agency guidelines and institutional policies. Responsibilities will include the coordination and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment in the areas of environmental protection and physical safety, in support of departmental and institutional safety and training programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• 20% - Develop, implement, and champion initiative-taking safety management policies and programs in alignment with Operational Excellence Strategy. Drive awareness and accountability for safety performance and systems through all levels of the organization and build a strong sustainable safety culture through training and awareness
• 10% - Communicate, coordinate, and collaborate effectively with Field Operation's team members in the development and implementation of EHS programs. Champion engagement in safety, health, and environmental practices. Facilitate the transfer of leading safety, health, and environmental practices knowledge across the organization. Communicate EHS goals, standards, and metrics.
• 2% - Audits EH&S compliance, identifies, implements, and follows up on required corrective
actions; supervises conduct of routine EH&S compliance activities.
• 10% - Advise, develop, support, improve and promote EHS systems, policies, processes, and programs to ensure and exceed compliance with internal/external regulatory requirements and commitment to a zero-incident safety culture for a large geographically group of facilities.
• 6% - Perform risk assessments, critical task procedures, job safety analyses, and audits to assess EH&S gaps/barriers. Develop and implement strategies and tactics to address and resolve issues identified.
• 50% - Develop effective EH&S training for hourly, supervisory and management employees.
Mentor, coach, and train field management in the requirements of training
• 2% - Create informative summary reports and analyses of EH&S activities, performance metrics and results. Plan, prepare and present EH&S plans, goals, objectives, and results. Contribute to Corporate EHS goal setting through participation in development and implementation of these measures and communications. Prepare and organize EH&S files for internal/external regulatory Audits.
• Works independently to reduce and eliminate safety hazards and job-related injuries.

Education/Experience:
• BS/BA Occupational Safety/Industrial Hygiene or related discipline (preferred) or equivalent experience, 10 years or greater
• Advanced knowledge of industrial/construction safety
• Strong people skills including facilitation, negotiation, and problem resolution
• Demonstrated ability to influence at the leadership level
• Ability to build trust and respect at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, set, and execute to work plans
• Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization and project management skills
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Demonstrated discretion in dealing with highly confidential matters
• Proficient in MS Office and related software programs
• Safety Certifications as required
Language Ability:
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Outstanding people skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally in a
variety of formats with diverse individuals and groups using tact, diplomacy, and flexibility
Reasoning Ability:
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
