Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree (equivalent experience could be substituted for the degree)
- Proficient computer skills, especially Word, Excel, and JD Edwards
- One to three years experience in Safety, Environment and Health, SARA Title III, Title V permitting, Hazardous Waste
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Understanding of ISO 14001 Guidelines

1.
Assist in conducting safety training for new hires and other safety training including yearly compliance training
2.
Assist in ensuring OSHA compliance with applicable programs including lockout tagout, forklift operation, confined space, electrical safety, respirators, blood borne pathogens, personal protective equipment, hazard communication, hearing conservation, etc.
3.
Manage recycling program
4.
Help facilitate plant emergency action plan including fire evaluation chemical and other foreseeable emergency type situations
5.
MSDS management
6.
Assist in Hygiene testing
7.
Oversee Workers’ Compensation program
8.
Creates and conducts safety program that includes safety team creation and management to drive positive safety changes
9.
Manage ergonomics including workstation analysis countermeasures
10.
Conducting necessary training and audits for 5S
11.
Assist in managing the ISO 14001 system for the plant
12.
Other duties as assigned by management
13.
Ensure that accident reports are being completed and countermeasures implemented as necessary
14.
Generate reporting of all activities for management
15.
Ensure “Hot Work” system is being followed as necessary
16.
Address facilities related insurance issues as they arise
17.
Accompany Federal, State and Local Safety, Health and Environmental inspectors when they come onsite
18.
Address “off shift” issues regarding safety/security/environmental
