Position Summary:

Experienced in multiple facets in the construction industry including but not limited to rough carpentry, finish carpentry, flooring (tile, carpet), painting, caulking, stucco application, concrete finishing, drywall installation and finishing procedures. Must possess prioritization skills and understand the importance of timely installations through completion. Strong attention to detail and quality is imperative.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Quality assurance
• Protection of finished surfaces and product
• Assisting in inspection and final orientation preparations
• Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities
• Completion of daily scheduled duties by construction managers
• Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
• Provide assistance for Construction Directors and Managers
• Assistance in site presentation duties on a daily basis
• Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
• Other related duties as assigned by management

Required Experience:

Minimum Experience:

General construction and hands-on experience with drywall, paint and light finish carpentry or carpentry punchwork. Punchout experience with a homebuilder is preferred but not required.

Prior experience working with customers and ensuring customer satisfaction required.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Skills/Abilities Required:

• General knowledge of construction terminology and standards.
• Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with subcontractors, G.L. Homes personal, customers and all other parties.
  • Must have good people skills and enjoy working with customers. Must have a genuine commitment to Customer Satisfaction.
  • Ability and willingness to follow through and ensure the work is done correctly and efficiently.
  • Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Must be self-motivated and take initiative without direction. Production of quality product in a timely manner
  • Ability to make good decisions when problems arise to resolve the situation in an efficient and cost effective manner. Ability to anticipate problems and avoid them by planning ahead.
• Candidates must have their own transportation and a valid driver's license.
