Faculty Physician – Cardiologist: Adult Congenital Heart Disease
(Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor)
Minneapolis, MN

Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiologist to join the Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota, at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. This division is well-regarded both regionally and nationally, and we aim to find a candidate who can enhance our clinical care, educational initiatives, and research in adult congenital heart disease.

Position Highlights:

Collaborate closely with the leadership teams of both the adult and pediatric cardiovascular divisions, the cardiology service line, and the Lillehei Heart Institute to further develop the clinical and academic objectives related to adult congenital heart disease.
Engage in clinical activities across various settings, including University of Minnesota Physicians clinics, hospital services, outreach clinics, and pediatric/ACHD echocardiography.

Qualifications:

Board eligible or certified in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics, as well as in Adult or Pediatric Cardiology.
Board eligible or certified in Adult Congenital Cardiology.
Proven track record of excellence in education, research, and clinical practice.
Recognized for clinical proficiency, a robust publication history, and experience in securing external grant funding.
Eligible for a medical license in Minnesota and DEA registration, with the ability to fulfill credentialing and privileging requirements.
Must be able to obtain and maintain authorization to work in the U.S.

Compensation & Benefits:

This position offers dual employment through University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. The base salary ranges from $330,000 to $618,000, depending on experience and academic contributions. Benefits include a 401K matching program, wellness initiatives, allowances for CME, licensing, board, and DEA fees, malpractice insurance, and eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (501(c)(3) status). Additional university benefits encompass affordable medical, dental, and pharmacy plans.
