You turn raw pipe and threaded rod into precise, shipment-ready product. From the first cut to final bundling, you keep production moving safely and efficiently while meeting exact specifications.
What you'll do
- Precisely cut pipe to length using rotary chop saws and band saws.
- Guide and move pipe along the fabrication table; off-load to carts or crates and stage in the loading area.
- Create grooved ends with Victaulic or Pace grooving equipment.
- Thread pipe to specification with a powered threader.
- Assemble fittings using Mercury or Pace make-on machines.
- Cut threaded rod to required lengths on a band saw.
- Install hanger hardware to the specified lengths of threaded rod.
- Finish rod ends on a bench grinder to suit hanger applications.
- Push pipe carts to the load area and assist with staging for shipment.
- Staple cardboard boxes to pallets using a pneumatic staple gun.
- Operate a forklift, as needed, to retrieve materials and move pipe.
- Band and bundle pipe with a pneumatic bander for outbound shipments.
- Complete all required training, including safety modules, and demonstrate competence.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uphold safety standards.
- Follow company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform additional tasks to support company and customer needs as directed by the fabrication lead, fabrication manager, or branch operations manager.

What you bring
- Education/aptitude to follow standard procedures and verbal instructions, perform basic arithmetic, keep simple records, and use basic office devices (high school level or equivalent).
- 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment under time constraints.
- Welding background is a plus, with the willingness and ability to obtain certification.
- Math proficiency with whole numbers and decimals; able to read a tape measure in 1/4-inch increments.
Tools and equipment you'll use
- Warehouse and production equipment: saws, threaders, grinders, pneumatic bander, pneumatic stapler, forklift, pallet jack, and hand trucks.
- Hand tools: wrenches, screwdrivers, and related tools.
