Our Philadelphia-based wholesale produce distribution company is seeking an experienced Night Warehouse Manager to oversee our evening warehouse operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for managing a team of 6–10 warehouse associates, ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment, maintaining warehouse organization, and fostering a safe, productive work environment.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment, communicates effectively across departments, and leads by example.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of 6–10 night warehouse associates.
• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and evaluate warehouse team members.
• Manage employee performance, including disciplinary actions and performance improvement when necessary.
• Organize and prioritize customer orders by delivery route and delivery zone.
• Ensure orders are accurately pulled, staged, and prepared for delivery.
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and inventory flow throughout the shift.
• Enforce company safety policies and ensure the proper use of warehouse equipment.
• Coordinate with purchasing, receiving, quality control, and other departments to ensure product quality and timely order completion.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and maintain productivity throughout the shift.
• Perform other warehouse and supervisory duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse supervisory or management experience required.
• Experience in food distribution, produce, or a related warehouse environment preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop employees in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Knowledge of fresh produce or food products is a plus.

Schedule

• Shift: 4:00 PM until completion of nightly operations.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
