Data center experience is preferred, but candidates from large commercial facilities, telecommunications sites, apartment complexes, or mission-critical environments will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee facility operations and ensure critical infrastructure remains operational and properly maintained.
  • Coordinate and manage annual preventative maintenance schedules for site equipment and systems.
  • Monitor and support HVAC and cooling systems, including CRAC/CRAH units and other data center cooling equipment.
  • Manage maintenance activities related to UPS systems, DC power plants, backup power, and other critical facility infrastructure.
  • Work with vendors and service providers to schedule and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Review, approve, and track maintenance invoices and service-related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate reporting using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ensure compliance with facility procedures, safety standards, and operational requirements.
  • Support multiple sites as needed, including occasional travel between New York and Virginia locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience managing or maintaining commercial, industrial, telecommunications, mission-critical, or large residential facilities.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, electrical infrastructure, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Familiarity with critical power systems such as UPS units, backup power systems, or DC power plants.
  • Ability to troubleshoot facility-related issues and coordinate repairs with vendors and contractors.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including reporting and invoice approval.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous data center facilities experience.
  • Understanding of data center critical infrastructure and cooling systems.
  • Familiarity with CRAC/CRAH units and other mission-critical HVAC systems.
  • Experience supporting telecommunications facilities, central offices, network sites, or mission-critical environments.
  • Facilities management certifications are a plus.
