Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s history and needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools.

  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to promote trauma recovery, resilience, and emotional well-being.

  • Deliver evidence-based therapies, such as EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate deep emotional processing.

  • Lead both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients articulate their experiences, develop coping strategies, and enhance their emotional health.

  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other specialists to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment plans.

  • Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating quick, effective responses to stabilize patients' emotional states.
  • \n

  • Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, detailing coping mechanisms and available clinical resources, empowering them in their healing journey.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation aligned with ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring thorough communication within the care team.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary clientele includes individuals grappling with the effects of psychological trauma, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be pivotal in creating a safe space for clients to explore their experiences and begin the healing process, making a substantial difference in their lives.

Qualifications\n

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
  • \n

  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, with a focus on trauma-informed care preferred.
  • \n

  • In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • \n

  • Competence in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that foster client engagement and progress.
  • \n

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, marked by a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.

  • Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and manage crises effectively.

  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications for efficient documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
