Job Description
Mobile Field Technician
Location: Evansville, IN
Your Skills Should Take You Further.
Ready to get out of the same shop every day?
National Fleet Management is hiring experienced Mobile Field Technicians to provide on-site maintenance and repair services for commercial fleet customers.
You'll work from a fully equipped company service truck, travel directly to customer locations, diagnose problems, complete repairs, and take ownership of your work from start to finish.
And mobile doesn't mean constantly being away from home.
Most of our technicians service customers within approximately a 50–60 mile radius of home, giving you the independence and variety of a mobile role while keeping your territory local.
What You Can Earn$32–$45+ per hour
Pay is based on experience and performance.
Our performance-based compensation structure is designed to reward technicians for productivity, quality, and experience.
Our top Mobile Technician earned $164,135 in 2025.
Our average Mobile Technician earns more than $100,000 annually.
New technicians may also receive a 90-day pay guarantee, contingent upon the terms of their accepted offer, to provide additional stability while transitioning into the role.
What Your Day Looks Like

From your company-provided service truck, you'll:
-
Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns on heavy-duty trucks
-
Complete preventive maintenance services and inspections
-
Repair brake, suspension, steering, electrical, air, hydraulic, fuel, and engine systems
-
Troubleshoot issues and determine appropriate repair solutions

-
Communicate professionally with customers
-
Take ownership of jobs from diagnosis through completion
