Job Description POSITION SUMMARY The Maintenance Supervisor oversees facility maintenance operations across The Healing Place's campus, ensuring buildings, equipment, and infrastructure are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role supervises maintenance staff, manages preventive maintenance programs, coordinates vendors and contractors, supports regulatory compliance, and drives cost-effective maintenance solutions that support the organization's mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise, coach, and support maintenance staff to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with organizational standards.
- Coordinate, prioritize, and monitor work orders, maintenance requests, and repair projects across The Healing Place's facilities.
- Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance programs to ensure buildings, equipment, vehicles, and infrastructure remain safe and operational.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and grounds to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, fire, regulatory, and facility management requirements.
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers, including obtaining quotes, coordinating services, and monitoring performance.
- Monitor inventory, equipment, tools, and maintenance supplies, ensuring resources are available to support department operations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, and related documentation.
- Identify and implement cost-effective maintenance solutions and process improvements to support operational efficiency and responsible stewardship of resources.
- Collaborate with organizational leadership on facility improvement projects, capital planning, and long-term maintenance needs.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Four (4) or more years of experience in facility maintenance, building operations, construction, or a related field required.
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required.
- Technical training, trade school education, or certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, welding, or a related trade preferred; EPA certification preferred.
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service agreements preferred.
- Working knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance programs, facility operations, and safety practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while adapting to changing operational needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
