What You'll Do
- Adheres to character role when in presence of our Guests.
- Rehearses and performs live shows as scripted during several performance times per day, as assigned.
- Willingly receives and incorporates direction into performance.
- Adheres to standard operating procedures, including pre-show vocal and dance warmups.
- Checks fit of costume and reports repairs as needed.
- Provides guest service according to Worlds of Fun standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Worlds of Fun Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
- Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Meets Worlds of Fun's attendance requirements as outlined in Enchanted Parks' attendance policies.
- Adheres to Worlds of Fun's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned by leadership
What We're Looking For
- Minimum age: 16
- Ability to demonstrate basic acting ability and stage presence. Ability to sing and demonstrate knowledge of music.
- Ability to perform 30 minute sets up to ten times a day.
- Ability to wear assigned character make up and costume.
- Ability to see and interact with guests
- Ability to hear music and pitch tones
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures (up to/in excess of 100 F).
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to stand for long periods and work outdoors in various weather
- Strong teamwork skills and professional behavior
- Perform these job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
Other Duties
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support park operations.
