Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Shipping Assistant for a hospitality snack supplier located in Buffalo, NY. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with excellent benefits once hired on!
Payrate: $20.00/hr
Hours: Mon-Thu 9:00am-5:30pm, Fri 9:30am-3:30pm (some flexibility)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pick and pack orders for shipment
- Assemble and prepare shipping boxes and other necessary packaging materials.
- Pack shipment orders using appropriate packaging.
- Prepare shipments for carriers such as UPS, FedEx and LTL freight.
- Assist with processing of parcel and pallet shipments.
- Maintain a safe staging area - keeping area clean of debris.
- Verify orders and packaging to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with inventory counts.
- Receive inventory to ensure accuracy, lot numbers, and other necessary information is correct.
- Utilize internal computer programs as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven 1-3 years previous warehouse or shipping experience
- Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack is a plus
- Competent computer skills with ability to learn new programs if unfamiliar
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and manipulate objects up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout your shift
