ATP North America is seeking a Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Specialist to support our manufacturing operations. This role will be based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with regular travel to our West Columbia, South Carolina facility. The SHE Specialist will play a key role in fostering a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving sustainability initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement across our operations.
What You'll Do
As our SHE Specialist, you will:
- Lead and promote a proactive safety culture focused on employee engagement, hazard recognition, and risk reduction.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Develop and deliver safety, environmental, and energy management training programs.
- Support and maintain ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 management systems.
- Lead sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives that reduce environmental impact and support business goals.
- Manage environmental compliance programs, including waste management, emissions control, and spill prevention.
- Track and analyze key SHE performance metrics and present findings to leadership.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and coordinate drills and preparedness activities.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to integrate SHE best practices throughout the organization.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of experience in a Safety, Health, and Environmental role.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and industrial safety practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time between Philadelphia, PA and West Columbia, SC.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, OHST, QEP, or similar.
- Experience with ISO management systems.
- Experience in the pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA), coatings, chemicals, or related manufacturing industries.
