ARE YOU THE DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL OUR TEAM NEEDS?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Compassion and reliability
- Comfortable supporting individuals at home and in the community
- Willingness to learn and provide individualized support
Previous experience is helpful but not required. Training is provided!
WHAT VITAL ASSISTANCE DO YOU PROVIDE?
You will have the choice of full-time or part-time hours, with shifts available 7 days a week, at all segments of the day, evening and overnight. Shifts vary based on the support needs of each team, so you can specify your preferred hours. You will learn more about detailed opportunities upon applying and connecting with a representative of Life Works.
As a Direct Support Professional, you actively partner with and participate in the development of independent living skills and the achievement of life goals essential to living healthy lifestyles in the community. Some days are spent assisting with daily living and household tasks, providing medication reminders, and encouraging participation in community activities. Your responsibilities will also include accompanying individuals to appointments and documenting the services you provide. Throughout your day, you will be promoting choice, independence, and meaningful community involvement, making a positive impact on the lives of those you support.
