We are partnered with a U.S. based leading manufacturer on an Assistant Corporate Controller hire. This role will oversee corporate accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. This is a high-impact leadership role that works closely with senior finance leadership and plays a key part in driving operational excellence across the accounting function.

What You’ll Be Doing

\n

\n
• Lead and oversee core accounting functions, including general accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax coordination.

\n

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

\n

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

\n

• Maintain oversight of general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and financial controls.

\n

• Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhanced reporting capabilities.

\n

• Drive cross-functional projects focused on efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement.

\n

• Support audit activities and ensure timely execution of audit recommendations.

\n

• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.

\n

• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with corporate policies and financial reporting requirements.

\n

What They’re Looking For

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; MBA or Master of Accounting preferred, CPA designation is required

\n

• 5+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience, including public accounting and/or industry experience.

\n

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.

\n

• Experience leading and/or developing staff or additional team members.

\n

• Experience collaborating across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.

\n

• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.

\n

• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

\n

• ERP system experience (Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar) preferred.

\n

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required.
