About the Role\n

The Accounting Specialist – AP/AR is an important part of Tucson Asphalt’s accounting and administrative team, helping keep the financial side of our day-to-day operations accurate, organized, and moving forward.
\n
\n
This position is responsible for the flow of money both into and out of the company, making sure our vendors are paid accurately and on time, our customers are invoiced properly, outstanding receivables are followed up on, and the documentation behind every transaction is complete.
\n
\n
Construction moves fast, and this role connects with nearly every part of the company. You’ll work closely with our accounting team, project managers, operations, vendors, subcontractors, customers, and leadership to make sure the financial details behind our projects don’t fall through the cracks.
\n
What Success Looks Like\n
\n
Success in this position means owning your responsibilities from start to finish. Invoices are processed accurately, billing goes out on time, receivables are actively followed up on, vendor statements are reconciled, discrepancies are addressed instead of sitting unresolved, and accounting records are organized and dependable.
\n
\n
The right person doesn’t just identify a missing invoice, incorrect charge, past-due payment, or incomplete document—they follow through until it is resolved.
\n

Qualifications
\n
Previous AP/AR or accounting experience is preferred. Experience with QuickBooks is strongly preferred, and construction accounting experience is a plus.
\n
\n
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, understands the importance of deadlines and accurate financial records, communicates well, and is comfortable following up when information or payment is needed.
