Location: Northeast Philadelphia, PA

Compensation: $38.00 – $40.00 / hour ($80,000 – $85,000)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Payroll Operations & Team Leadership (50%): Supervise, mentor, and oversee a team of 4 Payroll Administrators. Manage accurate weekly payroll execution for 400–500 employees, as well as bi-weekly multi-state payroll across 45 states and an affiliate in Canada.
  • \n

  • System Implementation & Data Integration (25%): Lead system upgrades, software enhancements, and the setup/implementation of the onboarding platform. Build and manage automated data feeds between ADP and vendor systems to ensure precise data flow.
  • \n

  • Multi-State Compliance & Audit (15%): Audit payroll transactions, maintain compliance records, process amendments/W-2s, and set up new ADP reporting locations for branch expansions.
  • \n

  • Specialized Payroll & Cross-Functional Operations (10%): Process and balance After-Hours, SPIFF, and Blue Volt employee payments. Partner closely with HR, Benefits, and Accounting departments to resolve discrepancies, handle corporate audit requests, and support financial reporting.

What You Bring

\n

    \n
  • Leadership & Payroll Experience: 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience with at least 2 years in a direct supervisory or management role.
  • \n

  • Implementation Track Record: Proven, hands-on experience leading payroll software implementations, system integrations, and onboarding platform setups.
  • \n

  • Technical & Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required) and working knowledge of ADP systems (ADP Vantage preferred, ADP WorkForce Now applicable).
  • \n

  • Compliance Expertise: Deep knowledge of multi-state payroll principles, tax reporting requirements, wage and hour regulations, and exposure to Canadian payroll.
  • \n

  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field preferred (equivalent work experience accepted); CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.
