Aventura at the Bay
Join our team at Aventura at the Bay! We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to help maintain a clean, comfortable, and sanitary environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will take pride in ensuring that residents' clothing, linens, and other laundry items are cleaned, handled, and distributed properly.
Responsibilities

Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute residents' clothing, linens, towels, and other facility laundry.

Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and properly.

Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or items requiring special attention.

Ensure clean laundry is delivered to the appropriate departments and resident areas.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room and surrounding work areas.

Handle laundry supplies appropriately and notify the supervisor when supplies are running low.

Follow infection control procedures and established guidelines for handling soiled and clean laundry.

Use detergents, cleaning products, and other laundry supplies according to safety instructions.

Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or other issues to the supervisor.

Follow facility policies and procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications

Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to cleanliness and organization.

Previous laundry, housekeeping, or long-term care experience.

Ability to operate laundry equipment or willingness to learn.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks as required.

Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.

Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
