Living In Balance is seeking compassionate, dependable, and purpose-driven individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
As a DSP, you will provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will help individuals strengthen daily living skills, increase independence, participate in their communities, and pursue meaningful personal goals while being treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Training and Professional Growth
Living In Balance provides onboarding, required training, competency development, and opportunities to strengthen your skills as a Direct Support Professional. Previous experience is welcomed, but we are also willing to train dependable candidates who are committed to learning.
Key Responsibilities
As a Direct Support Professional, you may be responsible for:
- Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities
- Teaching and reinforcing skills that promote independence
- Supporting person-centered goals, routines, preferences, and choices
- Encouraging community participation, inclusion, and meaningful relationships
- Assisting with meal preparation and maintaining a safe, clean living environment
- Supporting medication administration only when properly trained and authorized
- Transporting or accompanying individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings
- Recognizing and reporting changes in health, behavior, safety, or support needs
- Completing accurate, timely, and objective service documentation
- Communicating important information during shift exchange and with the appropriate team members
- Protecting confidentiality, privacy, individual rights, dignity, and personal choice
- Following individual service plans, safety protocols, agency policies, and applicable requirements

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or other qualifying educational documentation
- Hold a valid driver’s license and meet applicable driving requirements
- Successfully complete required background and registry checks
- Successfully complete any required drug screening
- Complete required orientation, training, and competency verification
- Be able to perform the essential responsibilities of the position, with reasonable accommodation when applicable
- Demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting individuals with dignity, respect, and compassion
