We are seeking an Automotive Technician to independently diagnose, repair, and service cars, light trucks, and passenger vehicles in a primarily shop-based environment. The role includes routine maintenance, complex diagnostics, and fleet repair, with access to independent scan tools, digital repair databases, and ALLDATA. The technician reports to the service manager, shop foreman, and general manager.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems and vehicle concerns.
- Perform brake, suspension, steering, electrical, transmission, and engine repairs.
- Complete routine maintenance and vehicle service.
- Conduct multipoint and general vehicle inspections.
- Perform complex diagnostics and fleet repair.
- Use independent scan tools, digital repair databases, and ALLDATA for diagnostic and repair information.
- Work independently while coordinating with management and shop leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of automotive repair experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- State of Michigan mechanic's license or ASE certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive diagnostics experience.
- Experience with brake, suspension, steering, electrical, engine, and transmission systems.
- Vehicle inspection and troubleshooting experience.
- Customer service experience.
