Job Description

Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Video Editor to join a services team in Los Angeles, California on a Long-term Contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can shape compelling, brand-conscious video content for a law firm audience, with a strong understanding of social media standards and storytelling. The role focuses on transforming pre-recorded footage into refined short-form content that feels modern and engaging while maintaining a credible, consistent tone. Success in this position requires creative judgment, speed, and the ability to deliver high-quality edits on tight timelines.

Responsibilities:
• Edit short-form and social-ready video assets from supplied footage, delivering content that aligns with an elevated and consistent visual style.
• Produce high-quality video edits within fast turnaround windows, including projects that may require completion in as little as two days.
• Adapt content for social media platforms while ensuring each piece remains appropriate for a law firm brand and audience.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop visually compelling videos that balance creativity with a refined, credible presentation.
• Support ongoing content production needs by organizing, refining, and assembling footage for recurring campaigns and digital initiatives.
• Apply sound editorial judgment to create engaging videos that feel current without relying on overly casual or trend-driven formats.
• Contribute to occasional onsite video-related work connected to events, studio production, or other firm projects as needed.• Demonstrated experience editing detail-oriented video content, with a portfolio that reflects strong pacing, visual storytelling, and brand awareness.
• Solid understanding of social media video formatting, platform best practices, and audience-focused editing techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently and meet short deadlines without compromising quality.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with comparable editing platforms may also be considered.
• Strong creative sense with the ability to deliver content that is refined, modern, and suitable for a services environment.
• Experience with Adobe After Effects, motion graphics, or motion design is an advantage.
• Background in filming or video production support is helpful, though editing expertise is the primary focus.
