Physician Assistant – Pain Management – Queens & Long Island, NY
Full-Time | $130,000 Annual Salary
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Occasional Saturdays: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
- Position is split between offices in Richmond Hill and New Hyde Park
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our established, 100% outpatient pain-management practice serving patients across Queens and Long Island.
This is an excellent opportunity for a PA who is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and interested in developing specialized pain-management skills. The position includes a comprehensive six-month onboarding and training period, followed by the opportunity to practice with increased independence.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage approximately 35–40 patients per day
- Obtain patient histories and perform appropriate physical examinations
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
- Perform pain-management procedures, including:
- Trigger point injections
- Joint injections
- Cortisone injections
- Viscosupplementation and gel injections
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the clinical team
- Provide compassionate, efficient, and patient-centered care across both locations
Training and Autonomy
The selected Physician Assistant will complete a structured six-month onboarding and training program. Following successful completion of training, PAs have the opportunity to work with greater independence while maintaining access to physician guidance and clinical support.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Active or eligible New York Physician Assistant license
- Current NCCPA certification
- Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one
- Comfortable working with a high daily patient volume
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
- Interest in pain management and interventional procedures
Compensation and Benefits
- $130,000 annual salary
