Job Title: Embedded Firmware Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Bellevue - 3 days onsite

Responsibilities:
\n

- Develop embedded and bare-metal firmware for PD controllers.
- Bring up new hardware systems and work through hardware/firmware issues.
- Develop and support firmware for USB Type-C and Power Delivery functionality.
- Use debugging tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes to troubleshoot hardware and firmware.
- Read schematics and understand how hardware connections relate to firmware, data, and controller pins.
- Work with hardware communication buses including I2C, SPI, and other low-speed buses.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and other firmware team members on design and implementation.
- Help support validation, stability, and future functionality as the product develops.

Required Experience
\n
- \n
- Strong experience developing embedded and bare-metal firmware.
- Strong C programming skills.
- Experience with Cypress and/or Infineon MCUs and the associated IDE.
- Experience debugging hardware and firmware using tools such as a multimeter and oscilloscope.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and use them to implement firmware.
- Experience with I2C, SPI, and low-speed communication buses.
- Basic understanding of USB Type-C and Power Delivery (PD), including USB power negotiation.
