Our client is a leading financial services firm who are seeking an attorney to advise its business teams on corporate, securities and M&A matters.

Working closely with team members and investment professionals, this role offers direct involvement in transactions, internal approvals and business decision-making.

Responsibilities

- Provide legal support across M&A advisory engagements, securities offerings and other capital markets transactions.
- Draft, review and negotiate engagement letters, confidentiality agreements and related transaction documents.
- Advise investment bankers on transaction-related legal issues, contractual obligations and potential risks.
- Participate in transaction review and approval committees, helping assess proposed engagements and resolve legal questions.
- Monitor securities law and regulatory developments and advise internal teams on their impact.
- Coordinate outside counsel, oversee assigned legal workstreams and manage related legal expenses.
- Support special projects, third-party matters and transaction-related disputes or litigation.

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- JD and active New York Bar admission.
- 2–4 years of relevant corporate and transactional legal experience preferred.
- Experience with both securities offerings and M&A transactions.
- Training at a large law firm or experience within an investment bank strongly preferred.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, sound judgment and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Ability to communicate clearly with senior attorneys and business teams and provide practical legal advice.

About the opportunity:

Compensation Range: $185,000 - $215,000 base salary + Bonus
