Location: Jefferson County, KY 40291
Start Date: ASAP
Helper Rate: $15 per hour

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable helper to support a male client, at their 60's recovering from a stroke. He is currently residing in a nursing facility and is expected to remain there for another 3–4 months.

The family is planning ahead and looking for a caregiver who can provide support once he transitions back home.

Care Responsibilities

Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Provide support with daily routines
Assist with personal care and mobility as needed
Provide companionship and encouragement
Help Edward maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
Support his transition from the nursing facility back to home

Schedule

4 days per week
A few hours per visit
Exact days and hours to be determined

Ideal Candidate

Experience caring for clients recovering from a stroke preferred
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care
Patient, compassionate, and dependable
Able to provide respectful support while encouraging independence
Strong communication skills

This role is best suited for a helper who understands the challenges of stroke recovery and transitioning home after an extended stay in a nursing facility, and who can provide patient, encouraging, and dependable support with daily activities.
