Role Description This full-time, Forklift Mechanic role is based in Pinellas County, FL. The Forklift Mechanic inspects, diagnoses, and repairs forklifts and related material handling equipment, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drive components. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, completing work orders, and maintaining accurate service records. The role also involves collaborating with the service team, communicating repair recommendations to supervisors, and following safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines. Occasional on-site customer visits, parts ordering, and basic inventory checks may be required.

- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on forklifts and industrial equipment.
- Skills in performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic adjustments using hand and power tools.
- Comfort working from service manuals, technical diagrams, and manufacturer specifications to guide repairs.
- Experience documenting work performed, maintaining service records, and communicating clearly with team members.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe operation of material handling equipment.
- Prior experience as a forklift or heavy equipment mechanic, or related automotive/diesel repair background preferred.
- Relevant technical certification or vocational training in equipment repair or mechanics is beneficial.
- Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy components and work in a warehouse and shop environment.
