GL Staffing is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic Helper to assist the maintenance team with the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial and manufacturing machinery. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic mechanical experience who is interested in developing their maintenance skills. Training will be provided.
Location: Miami Lakes
Pay Rate: $18–$20 per hour
Schedule: 6:30 AM until completion; must have open availability to work 2nd shift when needed
Responsibilities
- Assist maintenance mechanics with the servicing and repair of industrial/manufacturing machinery.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
- Use basic hand and power tools safely.
- Help identify mechanical issues and report equipment problems.
- Follow safety procedures and maintenance instructions.
- Keep the maintenance area clean and organized.
- Perform other maintenance-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Some previous mechanical, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience required.
- Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and tools.
- Ability to learn and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to learn.
- Must have open availability to work 2nd shift when needed.
- Previous manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus.
