Snapshot / Role Overview

We're looking for a Senior Plumbing Estimator in the Austin area to lead bids on large commercial projects, including high-rises and data centers, for a mechanical contractor expanding in Central Texas.

Impact

• Land the projects that define a contractor's reputation in Austin.
• Build an estimating bench for the years ahead.
• Keep margins healthy through disciplined cost and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage estimating for complex commercial and mission-critical projects.
• Provide technical leadership to estimators.
• Set pricing strategy for the Austin market.
• Work with business development on client relationships and pursuits.
• Identify contract risks and opportunities.
• Lead preconstruction services and design-build estimating.
• Maintain relationships with key suppliers and specialty subs.
• Take part in go or no-go decisions on major pursuits.

Must-Haves

• Eight or more years of senior commercial plumbing estimating.
• Demonstrated wins on large competitive bids.
• Expert knowledge of Texas codes and the Austin construction market.
• Team leadership experience.

Nice-to-Haves

• Semiconductor or data center project exposure.
• Design-build background.

Compensation and Logistics
