Community and Customer Experience
Job Description
COMMUNITY & CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE LEAD
\n
Influencers, Community & Customer Support | Amrita Health Foods
\n
Overview
\n
Amrita Health Foods is looking for a Community & Customer Experience Lead to help us build deeper relationships with our customers, creators, influencers, and brand advocates.
\n
This is initially a hands-on role. You will personally manage influencer and creator relationships, customer support, outreach, engagement, and community-building activities. As the business grows, the role will evolve from doing the work to building the systems and managing a small team of people doing the work.
\n
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people, understands how communities are built, communicates extremely well, and takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do. You should also be highly comfortable using AI, automation, and modern tools to make the work faster, more organized, and more effective.
\n
About Amrita Health Foods
\n
Amrita Health Foods is a mission-driven food company creating clean, allergen-friendly nutrition using real, recognizable ingredients. Our products are free from the Top 9 allergens, 100% nut-free, and plant-based. We also have a strong social mission focused on creating meaningful employment and vocational opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.
\n
As we grow, fiber and gut health are becoming a central part of the Amrita story. Our protein bars deliver 12 grams of plant-based protein and 10 grams of fiber. We see an opportunity to help consumers think beyond simply, “How much protein am I getting?” and start asking, “How much fiber am I getting too?”
\n
We want Amrita to become a meaningful voice around fiber, gut health, clean nutrition, allergen-friendly eating, and better everyday food.
\n
The Role
\n
The Community & Customer Experience Lead will own two closely connected areas of the business:
\n
Community & Influencers — Building relationships with creators, influencers, customers, ambassadors, partners, and people who genuinely connect with what Amrita stands for.
\n
Customer Experience — Making sure customers receive fast, thoughtful, helpful support and that what we learn from customers gets communicated back into the business.
\n
At Amrita, we don’t want community to simply mean having followers. We want to build real relationships with people who believe in our products, mission, and values and want to become part of the Amrita story.
\n
Community, Creators & Influencers
\n
• Identify and recruit creators, influencers, affiliates, ambassadors, and potential brand advocates
\n
• Build genuine long-term relationships rather than relying only on transactional influencer campaigns
\n
• Manage outreach, product seeding, follow-ups, communication, and ongoing relationships
\n
• Develop systems for consistently finding and engaging new creators
\n
• Encourage and organize user-generated content, testimonials, reviews, and customer stories
\n
• Engage with our community across social channels and other relevant platforms
\n
• Identify highly engaged customers who could become advocates for the brand
\n
• Develop programs and initiatives that give people reasons to participate in and share the Amrita community • Track relationships, outreach, content, and results
\n
Customer Support & Experience
\n
• Initially handle customer support directly across our primary customer channels
\n
• Respond quickly, professionally, and empathetically to customer questions and problems • Resolve issues while protecting and strengthening the customer relationship
\n
• Identify recurring questions and problems and develop systems to address them
\n
• Build FAQs, templates, workflows, and processes that improve response quality and speed
\n
• Collect customer feedback and communicate important insights back to marketing, operations, product, and leadership
\n
• Look for opportunities to turn great customer experiences into reviews, referrals, testimonials, and long-term relationships
\n
Building Community
\n
A critical part of this role is understanding that community is more than posting on social media or sending influencer outreach emails. We are looking for someone who understands how to create belonging, start and maintain conversations, identify natural brand advocates, give people reasons to participate, connect people around shared interests and values, and turn customers into advocates.
\n
Our community includes allergy-aware families, people interested in gut health and clean nutrition, active individuals and athletes, parents, creators, and people who connect with our social mission. The goal is to bring these people closer to the brand and closer to one another.
\n
AI, Automation & Tools
\n
We expect this person to actively use AI and modern tools for creator research, outreach personalization, customer-support workflows, response drafting, CRM and relationship management, follow-up systems, feedback analysis, reporting, and documentation.
\n
AI should make you more effective at building relationships. It should never make those relationships feel automated.
\n
You must be able to recognize when a situation requires human judgment, empathy, creativity, or a personal response.
\n
From Execution to Leadership
\n
Initially, this is a hands-on role. We expect you to personally understand and perform the work before managing others who do it.
\n
As Amrita grows, the role should evolve into managing a small team responsible for customer support, creator and influencer outreach, community engagement, and affiliate and ambassador relationships. Part of your responsibility will be documenting processes, building systems, defining expectations, and eventually training and managing other team members.
\n
We want someone who can build the function—not simply inherit one.
\n
What We’re Looking For
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
\n
• Experience with community building, influencer/creator relationships, customer experience, or related work • Genuine enjoyment of communicating and building relationships with people
\n
• Strong understanding of social media and creator ecosystems
\n
• Ability to communicate professionally while still sounding human
\n
• Strong organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
\n
• Comfortable using AI, automation, CRM, and modern productivity tools
\n
• Ability to create systems, improve processes, and learn new technology quickly
\n
• Able to work independently without constant direction
\n
• Potential and desire to eventually manage a small team
\n
• Experience with food, wellness, CPG, ecommerce, nutrition, or mission-driven consumer brands is a plus
\n
Expectations & Accountability
\n
• Follow through consistently and communicate proactively
\n
• Respond to customers and partners in a timely manner
\n
• Treat every customer interaction as an opportunity to strengthen the relationship • Build relationships rather than simply send outreach
\n
• Keep systems, records, and follow-ups organized
\n
• Bring ideas and solutions rather than waiting for instructions
\n
• Use AI and tools intelligently without becoming dependent on them
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes
\n
• Learn from results and continually improve
\n
• Work with urgency while maintaining quality, empathy, and attention to detail
\n
What Success Looks Like
\n
Success means Amrita develops a larger, more engaged community of customers, creators, influencers, and advocates while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
\n
Over time, we should see stronger creator relationships, more organic advocacy and user-generated content, faster and better customer support, increased reviews and referrals, better systems and automation, and more customer insights being used throughout the business.
\n
As the role grows, success also means building the people, systems, and processes that allow these functions to scale without losing the personal connection that makes a strong community work.
\n
Most importantly, we want someone who treats the Amrita community and customer experience as something they own.
