What You’ll Do
\n
Relate Search is partnering with a leading high-volume manufacturer in search of a Second Shift Production Supervisor to lead production and support activities within a 24-hour manufacturing operation. This role will oversee employees across production while coordinating closely with maintenance, quality, tooling, and other support functions to keep operations running safely and efficiently. The Supervisor will be highly visible on the plant floor, developing employees, solving production challenges, and ensuring strong communication between shifts. This is an opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader to take ownership of a key shift while developing within an organization that offers continued leadership growth.

Responsibilities

- Lead second-shift production personnel and coordinate supporting teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance goals.
- Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor, working directly with employees to identify production or equipment issues and coordinate timely solutions.
- Coach, train, and develop employees while reinforcing performance expectations, safe work practices, and accountability across the shift.
- Manage daily staffing, scheduling, production documentation, shift handoffs, and communication of equipment or operational issues across departments.
- Monitor production processes, machinery setup, product quality, and workflow while partnering with maintenance, quality, and technical teams to minimize disruption and maintain performance.

Qualifications
\n

- Previous manufacturing supervisory experience with demonstrated success leading employees in a fast-paced production environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills, including communication, conflict resolution, coaching, and decision-making.
- Proven problem-solving ability with the sense of urgency needed to respond effectively to production and equipment challenges.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing machinery and equipment; exposure to tooling, presses, forming, stamping, welding, or similar processes is preferred.
