Position Summary

The Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, and financial performance of a skilled nursing facility in the Tampa, FL area. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while promoting high-quality resident care, staff engagement, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of facility operations
• Ensure compliance with CMS, Tennessee Department of Health, and all regulatory requirements
• Maintain readiness for state and federal surveys; lead plans of correction as needed
• Oversee financial performance including budgeting, census management, and cost controls
• Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and management team
• Foster a culture focused on resident-centered care, quality outcomes, and staff retention
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to support quality measures, infection control, and risk management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, hospitals, and community partners
• Drive census growth through strategic marketing and referral relationships
• Ensure policies, procedures, and operational standards are followed consistently

Qualifications

• Current Florida Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license (required)
• Minimum 2–5 years of Administrator experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, survey process, and QAPI
• Proven leadership, operational, and financial management skills
• Experience managing Medicare and Medicaid census strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
