Title: IT PC Refresh Technician
Location: Blacksburg, Virginia 24060
Duration: 6+ months
As an IT PC Refresh Support Technician, you will provide technical assistance for a PC hardware refresh and deployment project. You will build, swap, configure, and deploy refreshed hardware to end users while ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems at the assigned location. You may also troubleshoot hardware and software issues, provide high-quality customer service, and resolve IT issues in a timely manner. The role may require after-hours support for emergencies, critical troubleshooting, system maintenance, or other IT needs.
Required Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in a customer support role involving technical knowledge of company products, services, and IT systems.
- Experience installing and configuring computer systems and applications.
- Strong, systematic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good time-management skills with the ability to establish reasonable and attainable resolution timelines.
- Experience using service desk software such as Bomgar and other remote-access desktop programs.
- Experience supporting different operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS.
- Strong professional written and interpersonal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- IT-related coursework or certifications are a plus.
