We are seeking an Environmental Project Specialist to support work on the Space Coast of Florida. The primary focus of this role is to understand and effectively meet the client's technical needs concerning materials, equipment, and resources.
Responsibilities
- Attend site walks to prepare reports for bidding opportunities.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates for internal stakeholders.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on complex projects.
- Provide technical advice and coordination to project managers, project leads, and other stakeholders regarding project specifics.
- Identify and support scope of work changes for the Project Manager and Project Lead.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices through continued professional development.
- Communicate customer issues to stakeholders to devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and concerns.
- Respond to after-hours emergency response calls as required.
- Model a positive attitude, contribution, and teamwork in all situations.
- Consistently support the company vision, mission, and program rollouts to drive desired results.
- Uphold the ethics and values of the company.
- May serve as a Job Site Manager (JSM) or Project Lead (PL).

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or Technical Certification with 3 years of experience in environmental or remediation projects preferred.
- Experience with field services in another industry will be considered.
- Strong interpersonal skills for negotiation and problem-solving.
- Aptitude for construction and mechanical assembly.
- General working knowledge of tools, excavation, and remediation equipment.
- Excellent judgment and discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and manage work-related obligations.
- Enthusiastic attitude to motivate and inspire the team.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in all situations.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
