Strategy and Operations Fellow

Job Description

Job DescriptionAbout the Role

A fast-moving, seed-stage AI consumer startup in the dating space is looking for a Strategy and Operations Fellow to own the critical growth initiatives that will define the company's next phase. You'll work directly alongside the founding team — partnering closely with both co-founders and a high-caliber engineering team — to help scale an innovative AI voice matchmaking platform toward a nationwide launch.

This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role suited for a sharp, systems-minded operator who thrives in ambiguity and wants to be a core part of building something from the ground up.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aimed at scaling the platform to 100,000 users.

  • Lead sourcing and hiring efforts for founding and early-stage team members.

  • Collaborate directly with founders and engineering to gather, analyze, and implement user feedback into product decisions.

  • Drive growth initiatives supporting the company's expansion from seed stage to nationwide launch.

  • Partner with founders to prioritize and execute projects that accelerate scaling across the business.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 1–4 years of experience in an early-stage startup, consulting, investment banking, or similarly high-performance environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to own and execute business initiatives from conception through implementation.

  • Experience with go-to-market strategy, user acquisition, or scaling products to meaningful growth targets.

  • Experience recruiting, hiring, or helping build founding or early-stage teams.

  • Proven ability to gather user feedback and translate it into actionable product or business decisions.

  • Comfortable working directly with engineering teams or technical founders to translate requirements into execution.

  • Ability to operate effectively with ambiguity and define scope in unstructured situations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in consumer product or marketplace businesses.

  • Background working with AI or voice-based products.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 USD annually

  • Early-stage equity opportunity

  • Visa sponsorship: Not available

Location

This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, CA. Local candidates or those willing to relocate are preferred.
