We have been in business for 50+ years now!What would you do as a Service Lube TechnicianAs a Full-Time Service Lube Technician at Spradley Auto, you will be responsible for performing essential maintenance tasks to ensure customer vehicles are in optimal condition. Daily duties will include conducting oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations, along with inspecting vehicles for potential issues. You will be expected to follow safety and quality protocols while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Effective communication with team members and customers is key, as you'll be providing updates on vehicle status and any recommended services. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of services performed and ensuring compliance with dealership standards.Emphasizing customer-centricity, your goal will be to deliver top-notch service that enhances the overall customer experience. Flexibility and a problem-solving mindset will be essential in managing multiple tasks efficiently each day.Are you the Service Lube Technician we're looking for?To be successful as a Full-Time Service Lube Technician at Spradley Auto, you will need a combination of technical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in draining and replacing oil according to manufacturer specifications is essential, along with the ability to top off vital fluids such as brake, power steering, and windshield washer fluid. You should be skilled in inspecting engine blocks and underbodies for leaks and potential issues, as well as checking tire pressures and filling tires to the correct specifications. Installing new car parts, including air filters and batteries, is also a critical aspect of the role.Additionally, you must be proficient in lubricating moving parts and keeping the engine clean during servicing. Strong diagnostic skills are necessary for identifying existing issues and collaborating with lead mechanics. Finally, the ability to create detailed service reports for customers will enhance communication and customer service.Knowledge and skills required for the position are:Draining the oil from a vehicle and replacing it to manufacturer specificationsTopping off other fluids including brake, power steering, and windshield wiper fluidInspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issuesChecking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specificationsInstalling new car parts such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers, and batteriesLubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings, and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicingDiagnosing existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicles’ issuesCreating detailed service reports for customersYour next stepIf you think this role will suit your needs, great!
