Role Description The Maintenance Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role located in Elmhurst, IL, responsible for maintaining and repairing production and facility equipment. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and carrying out corrective and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The role involves working with industrial machinery, tools, and systems, following safety procedures and maintenance schedules, and documenting work performed in maintenance records. The Maintenance Mechanic collaborates with production, engineering, and safety teams to support continuous improvement, ensure equipment reliability, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in equipment maintenance and industrial maintenance for production and facility machinery.

  • Candidates should possess skills in corrective maintenance and maintenance & repair to diagnose issues and restore equipment to proper operation.

  • Candidates should possess skills in preventive maintenance to perform scheduled service, inspections, and adjustments that reduce equipment failures.
  • \n

  • Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.

  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, and to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
