Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing teams, including supervisors, leads, machinists, and support staff, while promoting accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Oversee key manufacturing and capital projects, including NPI, machine upgrades, new technologies, capacity expansion, and process optimization, ensuring delivery within established timelines and budgets
Provide technical leadership for CNC machining and precision manufacturing, troubleshooting production challenges and implementing practical solutions to improve performance
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Maintenance, suppliers, and customers to execute projects and successfully transition new products into production
Drive operational excellence and Lean manufacturing initiatives, improving machine utilization, cycle time, productivity, throughput, quality, safety, and on-time delivery through 5S, Kaizen, setup reduction, standard work, and waste elimination

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
7–10 years of machining/manufacturing experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role, with strong technical knowledge of CNC machining operations
Experience with ISO and/or AS9100 quality standards, along with knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental practices, and applicable employment requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies; Six Sigma certification is a plus
Proven project management, problem-solving, and team leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional projects, drive change, develop teams, and manage competing priorities
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, manufacturing software, and Microsoft Office, with strong written and verbal communication skills; must meet ITAR U.S. person requirements

Salary: $100K - $140K
