Maintenance Team Member

Under the direction of the Building Supervisor, the Maintenance Team Member is responsible for the overall cleanliness, physical appearance and presentation of the building, while maintaining a positive, productive relationship with the other team members, staff, clergy, and the congregants. The Maintenance Team Member will perform janitorial duties to maintain the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the building through regular scheduled cleaning activities.

Responsibilities
\n
\n
Set-up and take-down of scheduled functions including moving tables, chairs and other equipment.
\n
\n
Perform regular janitorial tasks such as cleaning bathroom fixtures, emptying trash cans, cleaning windows, walls, floors, stairwells, and carpets.
\n
\n
Maintain cleanliness of exterior grounds by picking up litter and maintaining trash areas.
\n
\n
Assist in landscaping activities including sweeping sidewalks, raking, watering.
\n
\n
Perform cleaning of vacant apartments on turnover.
\n
\n
Perform smoke battery replacements, light bulb replacements and support on minor deficiencies.
\n
\n
Assist Building Supervisor with repairs, installation according to their skills
\n
\n
Assist in snow removal activities and be available for cleanup during weather events.
\n
\n
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
\n

- Comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Available to work nights and weekends
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the required employment eligibility verification process, including Form I-9.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

- Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Late evening and weekends may be scheduled
- Works in outdoor weather conditions.

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required.
\n
