The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and safely, as well as experience in a lead or supervisory role. This role requires a proactive approach to diagnosing issues and performing repairs, as well as a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment.
- As Lead Mechanic, assist with training, coaching of other mechanics.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair hydraulic systems, air brake systems, and other critical components of heavy equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each piece of equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair jobs while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs.
Skills
- Proficiency in repair techniques and practices related to heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of hydraulics and air brake systems.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues.
