PrideStaff is seeking an experienced, hands-on Finance & Accounting Manager to lead financial operations and support strategic decision-making for a mid-sized manufacturing company in San Diego, CA. This role is key to managing cash flow, P&L, cost accounting, and establishing high-quality financial visibility across all operational departments.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Close Operations

  • Own the monthly close process and prepare accurate, timely financial statements while maintaining high data integrity.
  • Manage daily cash flow, financial forecasting, and working capital requirements.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AR/AP, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Create and optimize financial models, annual budgets, and long-term financial projections.

Cost Accounting & Operations Support

  • Lead manufacturing cost accounting, including job costing, standard cost development, and margin analysis.
  • Partner closely with operations teams on inventory control, costing accuracy, and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Manage RoU assets, fixed assets, and equipment leases.


Compliance, Banking & Administration

  • Oversee internal and external audit processes.
  • Coordinate directly with an external CPA firm for tax filings, planning, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage banking relationships, line-of-credit facilities, and overall financing activities.
  • Support general business administration, including corporate insurance policies, employee benefits, and regulatory filings.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 5–10+ years of manufacturing accounting/finance experience, with specific expertise in manufacturing cost accounting.
  • Proven experience working in a small-to-mid-sized business environment where roles are broad and hands-on.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cash flow effectively in constrained or fast-moving environments.
  • Strong proficiency with ERP/accounting software and a solid understanding of GAAP (and IFRS).
