Location: Tampa, FL
Pay: $25.00–$36.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp to Hire
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; Friday overtime as needed

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright to diagnose, repair, rebuild, install, and maintain industrial pumps and rotating equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience working with pumps, motors, bearings, shafts, seals, gearboxes, and related components.

This position requires someone who can work independently, accurately interpret technical specifications, and complete repairs to precise tolerances in a fast-paced industrial repair environment.

Key Responsibilities

Disassemble, inspect, diagnose, repair, and reassemble industrial pumps and rotating equipment
Repair and rebuild pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, sleeves, seals, valves, and related mechanical components
Identify worn, damaged, or out-of-tolerance parts and determine the appropriate repair method
Install, level, align, and test pumps, motors, and other rotating equipment according to manufacturer specifications
Perform shaft alignment using dial indicators, laser alignment tools, and other precision instruments
Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, technical drawings, and repair specifications
Use micrometers, calipers, feeler gauges, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools
Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting
Assist with fabrication, welding, machining, rigging, and equipment installation as needed
Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, jib cranes, hoists, and other material-handling equipment safely
Document inspections, repairs, measurements, and completed work
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Assist with emergency repairs or field service assignments when required
Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures

Qualifications

Minimum of two years of industrial millwright, pump repair, or rotating equipment maintenance experience
Experience rebuilding and repairing industrial pumps, motors, gearboxes, and related mechanical equipment
Strong knowledge of bearings, seals, shafts, couplings, tolerances, and equipment alignment
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, equipment manuals, and specifications
Proficiency with precision measuring and alignment tools
Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and basic math skills
Ability to work independently and accurately complete repairs
Welding, fabrication, rigging, or manual machining experience is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Must be available for overtime, including Fridays and occasional weekends, as needed

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in industrial environments for extended periods
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and precision instruments
