Patient Service Representative (PSR)

Overview: Front-facing role responsible for creating a smooth, professional patient experience from check-in through checkout, while supporting overall office efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

\n


\n

    \n
  • Front Desk & Patient Experience: Greet visitors, physicians, and patients professionally; direct them appropriately and monitor daily flow to keep the practice running efficiently, informing patients of any schedule delays
  • \n

  • Check-In & Intake: Assist patients with medical intake forms, upload insurance information and government-issued ID, and perform patient check-in
  • \n

  • Records & Billing: Update patient demographics, insurance, HIPAA, and financial forms; accurately collect payments and clearly explain financial obligations to patients
  • \n

  • Chart Management: Create and assemble paper and electronic medical record charts, ensuring documents are properly entered and scanned
  • \n

  • Communication: Promptly answer and respond to phone calls and office emails; screen callers professionally, take messages, or direct to appropriate staff
  • \n

  • Office Support: Maintain waiting areas in a neat, tidy condition; provide chaperone duties during patient exams as needed; perform other clerical duties to support provider productivity and office efficiency
