Position Overview

\n

The primary responsibility of the Partner – People & Business Success is to assist management and Team Members with issues, questions, communication and/or policies and procedure concerns.

\n

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

\n

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Provides guidance, consultation and clarification of Company policies and procedures.
  • \n

  • Conducts due process meetings, peer reviews, interviews, investigations and mediation to resolve all matters in a timely fashion.
  • \n

  • Participate in the grievance process, including conducting investigations and representing the Company in grievance hearings.
  • \n

  • Assist in the interpretation and administration of the collective bargaining agreement to ensure consistent application and compliance.
  • \n

  • Foster a positive and collaborative relationship with union representatives, team members, and management.
  • \n

  • Support People & Business Success leadership in preparing for contract negotiations and arbitrations.
  • \n

  • Consistently meet deadlines pertaining to completion of investigations, investigatory summaries and the issuance of corrective actions as set by management and/or agreed upon with department leaders.
  • \n

  • Supervises the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the Company’s core service standards, brand attributes through the Team Member Survey and feedback sessions.
  • \n

  • Meets with department leaders to provide updates, communication roadblocks and to obtain feedback on departmental goals.
  • \n

  • Documents and maintains notes, reviews and drafts reports and summaries of Team Member issues.
  • \n

  • Prepares unemployment paperwork.
  • \n

  • Prepares or assists in the preparation of EEOC/NERC responses, timelines and confidential investigative files.
  • \n

  • Provides analysis of EEO and Workforce statistical data.
  • \n

  • Reviews corrective counseling notices, memos, and performance improvement plans.
  • \n

  • Participates in department panel interviews, assists with other areas of People Operations and in Team Member events.
  • \n

  • Safety is an essential function of this job.
  • \n

  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • \n

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Company Standards of Conduct

All The Venetian Resort Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.

Minimum Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • 21 years of age.
  • \n

  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • \n

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • \n

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • \n

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • \n

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • \n

  • 3 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist or similar role in Employee Relations.
  • \n

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Worker’s Compensation, Title 7, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, HIPPA, COBRA, Wage and Hour and Unemployment Law.
  • \n

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • \n

  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • \n

  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • \n

  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
