Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: River Bend Nursing and Rehab – Evansville, IN
River Bend Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide rehabilitation services to residents at our skilled nursing facility in Evansville, IN.

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for organizing and providing speech-language services designed to facilitate rehabilitation, improve communication, and support residents’ overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards

  • Evaluate residents and obtain the necessary data for treatment planning and implementation

  • Develop individualized treatment plans that include target areas, short-term goals, and long-term goals

  • Provide appropriate speech-language interventions based on residents’ individual needs

  • Instruct residents, families, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to promote carryover of therapeutic techniques and goals into daily activities

  • Monitor resident progress and modify treatment approaches as appropriate

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate with nursing and other interdisciplinary team members to support comprehensive resident care

Qualifications

  • Current license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the State of Indiana

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to providing quality, resident-centered care

  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
