Job Title: Mill Machinist
Job Description
The Mill Machinist will be responsible for operating CNC Mills, primarily focusing on 3-axis machining with aluminum materials. The candidate will read blueprints daily, perform basic tool changes and offsets, and deburr parts. Additional duties include conducting quality checks on finished parts and operating a CMM machine. The position involves working in a department focused on long-run production with training provided for setups, tool changes, and offsets.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Mills, primarily 3-axis machining.
- Read and interpret blueprints on a daily basis.
- Perform basic tool changes and offsets.
- Deburr parts to ensure smooth finishes.
- Conduct quality checks on finished parts.
- Operate CMM machine to verify dimensions and quality.
- Train into setups, tool changes, and offsets in a long-run production environment.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of CNC operation experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- High School Diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Machining Degree.

Work Environment
The work environment is characterized by compact hydraulic power units that are self-contained with an AC or DC motor, gear pump, reservoir, internal valving, load hold checks, and relief valves. There is frequent exposure to oils, cleaners, and loud noises, requiring hearing protection in designated areas. Occasional exposure to moving parts, equipment, and coolants. Eye protection and safety shoes with steel toes that must be slip-resistant are required in all plant work areas. The manufacturing environment is very clean, air-conditioned, and requires standing all day.

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
