Job Description
No Sales Experience Required
You do not need previous sales or cold-calling experience. We can teach you sales. We can teach you healthcare. We can teach you how to cold call.
What we need is someone who works hard, follows direction, wants to succeed, is comfortable talking to people, and isn’t afraid to hear “no.” If you’re coachable, hungry, resilient, and willing to put in the work, we want to talk to you.
About PatientFocus
PatientFocus is a growing Nashville-based healthcare revenue cycle management company helping healthcare organizations resolve patient balances after insurance.
Today, healthcare organizations collect only about 48% of what they bill patients, while patient responsibility continues to grow. That’s the problem we help solve - and the service you’ll be selling.
We’re a small, collaborative company where your work is visible and you can connect directly with leadership. PatientFocus has been recognized multiple times as one of Nashville’s Best Places to Work, and we offer great benefits, including a 401(k) match. Your success matters here - because our sales team’s success starts with you.
What You’ll Actually Do
This is a cold-calling role. Your job is to create conversations with healthcare leaders and turn those conversations into qualified meetings for our Account Executives.
• Make a minimum of 70 outbound calls per day
• Call healthcare revenue cycle, finance, and operations leaders
• Work from targeted prospect lists provided by our team
• Follow up through voicemail, email, and LinkedIn
• Use LinkedIn as part of your daily prospecting and outreach
• Use AI tools, including ChatGPT and Claude, as part of your daily workflow
Who We’re Looking For
Your résumé matters less to us than how you work. You may be a great fit if you:
• Work hard and follow through
• Are comfortable talking to people you don’t know
• Have energy, urgency, and a hunger to succeed
• Can hear “no” and make the next call
• Are coachable and can follow direction
• Are curious and willing to try new approaches
• Are comfortable using technology and AI
• Don’t need someone standing over you to work
• Like having clear goals and a scoreboard
• Want to build real B2B sales skills
Experience is a plus. Effort, attitude, resilience, and coachability matter more.
Compensation & Success
We offer a competitive base salary plus performance-based bonuses.
Your earning opportunity grows with the quality of the opportunities you create:
• Bonus for every qualified meeting you generate that is actually held
• Additional bonus when a meeting you generated ultimately becomes a PatientFocus client
Our expectation is approximately 2 qualified meetings per week, and we care about meetings held - not just meetings added to a calendar.
Our Account Executives depend on our BDRs to create opportunities, so we are 100% invested in helping you succeed.
Schedule
Our current hybrid schedule is:
• Tuesday-Thursday: In office in Berry Hill
• Monday & Friday: Remote
This is a full-time, minimum 40-hour-per-week position, and your hours will flex for the time zones you are calling.
One Last Reality Check
This probably isn’t the role for you if you hate cold calling, don’t want to use LinkedIn or AI as part of your work, are uncomfortable being measured on results, struggle with direct feedback, or want to wait for inbound opportunities.
But if you’re hungry, competitive, willing to learn, and can laugh off an awkward call before dialing the next number, we’d like to meet you.
