Role Description This full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician role is based in Indianapolis, IN. The technician will perform diagnostics, testing, adjusting and balancing on a variety of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting system issues and documenting all work performed in a clear and accurate manner. The role involves responding to service calls, explaining findings and options to customers, and ensuring that each visit supports safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The technician will also follow company and regulatory safety guidelines, maintain tools and vehicles in good condition, and collaborate with team members and management to meet service and performance goals.

- Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in diagnosing HVAC system performance issues and resolving mechanical and electrical problems.
- Proficiency in testing adjusting and balancing a complete array of commercial heating and cooling equipment.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction, including clear communication, professional demeanor, and a service-focused approach.
- Understanding of basic HVAC principles, airflow, refrigeration cycles, and common control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and service bulletins.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel locally for service calls.
- Physical ability to work in varied environments, including roofs, crawl spaces, and attics, and to lift and carry equipment as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC training program, apprenticeship, or relevant certifications is strongly preferred.
- Reliable time management, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
